Sunderland face a busy summer with pre-season just around the corner.

The Black Cats have announced that they face Spennymoor Town in their first pre-season fixture, as preparations for the 2021-22 season begin.

The clash will see Sunderland travel to the Brewery Field to face the National League North outfit on Saturday, July 3 at 3pm.

The Black Cats are looking to build a squad capable of achieving League One promotion at the fourth time of asking after missing out on promotion to the Championship.
